Following the fire which destroyed the station building at Troon in July 2024, Network Rail developed 3 concept design options for the reinstatement of the building. It is a fine station with timber frame original buildings and canopied platforms - the canopies are braced across the trackbed. A station building was damaged by a fire in July 2024.
